Discover the Magic of Community Theater
Chicago Women Charity Players is a volunteer-based, not-for-profit theatre organization that empowers women from Chicago's Jewish communities to explore and develop their talents in the performing arts. Through professional-level theatrical productions, the troupe fosters confidence, communication, and teamwork while providing meaningful creative outlets. All proceeds support local charities that benefit women in the Chicago area.

Producer
Mandy Bachrach
Mandy Bachrach had her stage debut in 1985, performing in a local community theater production. She returned to the stage with a New York company in 1993 where in addition to performing she began working behind the scenes on sets and scenery. She has been a part of CWCP since its inception in 2003 and moved into the role of Producer the following year. In addition to her work for CWCP, Mandy has served as a creative director, leading the artistic vision and designing sets, scenery and costumes for community productions such as Anastasia, Aladdin, and Frozen.

Bari is passionate abut using the performing arts to educate, empower, engage, and inspire everyone to imagine the possibilities.

Choreographer
Julie Weiss
Julie loves to dance and has been dancing since the tender age of 2. Julie has dabbled in choreography since middle school where she was asked to choreograph a dance for the hunters for a production of Peter and the Wolf. Since then, Julie has had the opportunity to choreograph a number of dances for the Orot Women’s productions, and she enjoys making up dances to teach to her high school students (when they deserve it). Julie would like to thank Mandy for the opportunity to choreograph such fun dances in this years CWCP production of A million dreams. And a special thank you to my co-choreographer Tsiona who helped to make this opportunity a reality.

Music Director
Sarah Magid
Sarah Magid is so excited to be making her CWCP debut as Music Director! Born and raised in Deerfield, Sarah grew up performing in school and community theatre, choruses, and show choirs.
She holds a Bachelor’s in Music Education from Case Western Reserve University and a Master’s in Vocal Performance from DePaul University. Sarah has taught music and choir to students of all ages and has most recently been working as a private voice teacher. And though currently on hiatus, Sarah is also a proud member of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Chorus.
Sarah has previously music directed several middle and high school productions, including The Addams Family, Once on This Island, and Joseph. Additionally, she pit directed Legally Blonde: The Musical during her undergrad. Prior to Covid, she was working as the substitute Middle and Upper School choral director at the Latin School of Chicago and as music director for the Sarah Hall Theatre Company. After a little break from music directing, she is extra grateful for the chance to jump back in and work with the talented women at CWCP. She is so proud of everything they have accomplished!
Sarah is immensely grateful to her husband, Aaron for holding down the fort while she’s at rehearsals and for supporting her endlessly. She would also like to give a shout out to Bluma and Ariel, the cutest kids in the history of the world.
Thank you Hashem!
